If you're up for off-color, tasteless, redneck humor in the Duke Nukem 3D style of gameplay, this game is an absolute riot.
The Win98 virtual environment had a few issues getting the game to run, but it played fine when launched with the autorun executable on the CDs.

Although a DOS game, this version of RR also claims to be Windows 95 compatible and I have tested these images on a Virtual Box Win98 SE installation.

The file sizes are little large due to the CDs having both audio and data tracks, but the hard disk install footprint is 138 MB for Redneck Rampage & 209 MB for the Rides Again sequel.

Optional files for download include scans of the jewel case inserts & installation instructions, along with the "Cuss Pack" add-on for those who want to make the game's audio a LOT more colorful. See Note #3 above.This download includes CD images (MDF format) of the "Redneck Rampage/Redneck Rampage Rides Again Dual Jewel" pack compilation that was sitting around on one of my shelves collecting dust.
Also added a note in the RA section of the launcher about running it with the music. 
Made a few tweaks to RR & RA’s configs. Re-added the missing files from RR’s recent update. I would’ve added some more map-packs but for some reason having more than 4 caused DOSBox to crash on startup so I had to make do. Extra content! Now contains plenty of add-on levels for RR (a handful of map-packs & 50+ individual maps). You can tweak the settings to whatever you like. The of nf now has these settings for each game: ‘mixer cdaudio 50:50’. Lowered the music volume so you can enjoy the sound effects more. Note #3: For some reason I’m unable make the music work if RA was launched through the setup, so you’ll have to run RA directly and enable the music with the in-game 8-Track Player. You can also simply change to another song through the 8-track player in the Sounds menu, but from testing it, it doesn’t seem to let the songs change to the next one (but maybe this is also occasional). If this happens, a fix for this is saving where you are in the level, starting a new game, then re-loading your save. A lot of the time songs need quite a bit until they change to the next one, and for some reason occasionally the next song just doesn’t play. Note #2: The music can be a bit temperamental. Note: This does not install the Cuss Pack since not everyone will want to have it installed, but the files already come with the Steam release so you can drag and drop them into the main folder if you want them in the game.

Credits and what the patch includes:įirst up, GOG basically gets most of the credit as I used their version of the game to put the bulk of this together. This is a simple drag and drop patch for the Steam version of Redneck Rampage which adds the music, the missing expansions, WASD controls, and a launcher that loads in DOSBox so you can choose which game you want to play (including the Setup).
